David McKinnon came free with the goalkeeper in the 23rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wilbur Cormier could save by the left post. In the 25th minute, Luciano Grant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute Lyle Irvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Woodrow Patrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Energy FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jaime Mathews hit a great ball. Wilbur Cormier made an important save on a dangerous shot by David McKinnon in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Energy FC's Jaime Mathews ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilbur Cormier. Wilbur Cormier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 35thth minute of the game Drew Fisher who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Energy FC's Woodrow Patrick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilbur Cormier was left in no man's land by his defense there! South Beach FC's Wilbur Cormier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Steele in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Duncan Landry charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, Energy FC's Dario Steele got a free kick in the 59th minute. Wilbur Cormier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David McKinnon in the 61st minute of the match.
