Spectators: 7996 (Terracing: 5998, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sebastian Pennington took the kick off in the first half of the match. Donald Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Malloy in the 10th minute of the match. Donald Kennedy made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Laurence Payton sent off a good shot on target. Malcolm Li made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Pennington in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Sebastian Pennington shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Malcolm Li showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Garret Hanson fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hillsborough's protests and gave Garret Hanson a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Hillsborough's Donald Kennedy got control of the ball when Brent Myles tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Emanuel Malloy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Malloy in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donald Kennedy saved Hillsborough from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, Hillsborough's goalkeeper Donald Kennedy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laurence Payton. In the 37th minute, Cobi Ham made a precise shot to the right of Malcolm Li. Blasdell's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Malcolm Li made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Pennington in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Cobi Ham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cobi Ham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Li having to interfere. Cobi Ham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Malloy to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Sebastian Pennington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Li saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Hillsborough's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Malloy came free, but Donald Kennedy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blasdell were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Hillsborough's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Brent Myles took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Brent Myles got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Donald Kennedy quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the Hillsborough defense, Laurence Payton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donald Kennedy. The Hillsborough fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donald Kennedy should have stopped the shot. Cobi Ham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hillsborough's Cobi Ham got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Malcolm Li was a little too slow when Sebastian Pennington got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-3. Donald Kennedy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Malloy, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 91st match minute, Hillsborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garret Hanson to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Hillsborough getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Homer Benjamin hit a great ball. When the match was over Hillsborough could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Blasdell throughout the match.
