Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Vânderson Souza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Edgardo Guy fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Warrior Boys's protests and gave Edgardo Guy a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hillsborough booed when Warrior Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Guy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimmy Yeats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Henley having to interfere. In the 9th minute Vânderson Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donald Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jack Costello charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Donald Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Weston Crowder in the 18th minute of play. Jimmy Yeats charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jimmy Yeats the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jimmy Yeats hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Neil Ruff hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 25 played minutes, Warrior Boys's Sydney Vickers shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Donald Kennedy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Warrior Boys reached it. Vânderson Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Donald Kennedy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vânderson Souza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donald Kennedy was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Donald Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vânderson Souza in the 30th minute of the match. Weston Crowder hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Hillsborough's Sebastian Pennington ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Walter Henley. Walter Henley yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 40 minutes into the game, Terrence Walters was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hillsborough's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warrior Boys the free kick. The supporters of Warrior Boys booed when Hillsborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terrence Walters didn't get a good kick on the ball. Weston Crowder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Todd Barrett in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donald Kennedy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 45th play minutes Vânderson Souza shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Donald Kennedy and just under the crossbar into goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Pennington was the one to do the kick off. Donald Kennedy made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Vânderson Souza sent off a good shot on target. Todd Barrett struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Donald Kennedy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Warrior Boys. The crowd rose to their feet as Warrior Boys's Todd Barrett slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donald Kennedy. That made the score 1-3 after 56 minutes of play. Warrior Boys's Perry Reeder was substituted for Val Coleman. Donald Kennedy was a little too slow when Vânderson Souza got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-4. Jack Costello was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Jack Costello hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Jimmy Yeats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Yang Liang Chao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walter Henley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Yeats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vânderson Souza's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Donald Kennedy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Vânderson Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Warrior Boys's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
