Jonathan Gee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Beal in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Miami Vice's goal looked a bit too open when Milton Hand came free, but Jonathan Gee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Bernardo Beal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Gee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Miami Vice defense, Bernardo Beal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Gee. The Miami Vice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Gee should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Gee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton Hand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Slaton's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Elias Good 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. In the 40th minute Bernardo Beal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Gee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Gee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Pollard in the 42nd minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Miami Vice got a freekick which was hit by Emmitt Edmonds. In the 45th minute, Milton Hand made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Gee. Miami Vice's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Slaton's Daryl Rivers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Good in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Elias Good made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Slaton defense, Thurman Kidd kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daryl Rivers. The Slaton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daryl Rivers should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Miami Vice's Emmitt Edmonds got a free kick in the 58th minute. Miami Vice's Elias Good got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Slaton's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Moody came free, but Daryl Rivers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Todd Bennett during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Slaton getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Todd Bennett hit a great ball. Miami Vice's Elias Good got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thurman Kidd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Daryl Rivers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Felipe Pollard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Jonathan Gee was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nelson Moody took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daryl Rivers. Daryl Rivers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. When Thurman Kidd, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 85 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Daryl Rivers was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Emmitt Edmonds left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Miami Vice fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Pollard got free with Jonathan Gee in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute Bernardo Beal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Gee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daryl Rivers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Good, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 97 minutes into the match, Slaton's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Moody came free, but Daryl Rivers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Slaton players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Miami Vice.
