In the 2nd minute, Rashad Marrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Warrior Boys's Vânderson Souza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claude Simon during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, Claude Simon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ed McMahon charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ed McMahon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Warrior Boys's Ed McMahon got a free kick in the 16th minute. Walter Henley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chance Canales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Warrior Boys getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Sydney Vickers hit a great ball. Vânderson Souza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mel Masters came out and tried to block the shot, but Vânderson Souza slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Mickey Cohen FC's Sander Minnen got a free kick in the 24th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Vânderson Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Warrior Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Vânderson Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mel Masters breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mel Masters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Weston Crowder in the 36th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vânderson Souza got free with Mel Masters in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leland Drummond could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Mel Masters made a huge save. In the 41st minute Vânderson Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mel Masters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rdth minute of the game Vânderson Souza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mickey Cohen FC's Mel Masters was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vânderson Souza made a kick off. Vânderson Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Mel Masters tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 53 played minutes Warrior Boys got a freekick which was hit by Todd Barrett. After 56 minutes of play, Warrior Boys's Vânderson Souza made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mel Masters was left in no man's land by his defense there! Warrior Boys made a substitution. Perry Reeder replaced Val Coleman. Vânderson Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mickey Cohen FC's Chance Canales got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute Vânderson Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mel Masters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yang Liang Chao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Mel Masters tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rashad Marrero's late challenge caught a Warrior Boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rashad Marrero helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mickey Cohen FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Rashad Marrero hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vânderson Souza in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mel Masters prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee ended the match the Warrior Boys players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
