In the 11th minute, Yang Liang Chao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donald May stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vânderson Souza's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. If Yang Liang Chao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walter Henley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darius Morgan, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 21st minute, Sherwood Welsh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Galaxy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vânderson Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Donald May showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vânderson Souza in the 26th minute of the match. Donald May showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vânderson Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Donald May came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Warrior Boys's Weston Crowder. But to his dismay, Weston Crowder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Yang Liang Chao kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Galaxy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Warrior Boys. Sydney Vickers stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Donald May. 1-3. Donald May stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vânderson Souza's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Domenic Ruiz hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47thth minute of the game Vânderson Souza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Galaxy's Donald May was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Warrior Boys were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dwight Dotson to strike the kick off in the second half. Yang Liang Chao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Donald May tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leland Drummond could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Donald May made a huge save. In the 55th minute, Yang Liang Chao reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Donald May. The goal made the score 1-4. Weston Crowder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 71st minute, Dwight Dotson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donald May was a little too slow when Leland Drummond got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leland Drummond in the 87th minute of play forced Real Galaxy's goalkeeper Donald May to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vânderson Souza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Donald May came out and tried to block the shot, but Vânderson Souza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 89th minute. Warrior Boys's Todd Barrett got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
