Cameron Hadley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Livingston having to interfere. Byron Samuel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Brett Livingston made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Byron Samuel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bonne Terre's supporters rose to their feet, but Byron Samuel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brett Livingston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the match, Bonne Terre's goal looked a bit too open when Weldon Pujols came free, but Jon Beyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Bonne Terre's Cameron Hadley dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Byron Samuel got free with Brett Livingston in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th match minute, Goofball FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sterling Winslow to maneuver through the defense. Jon Beyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milan Crockett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Weldon Pujols sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Byron Samuel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Brett Livingston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mike Shaw to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Bonne Terre's Jon Beyer got control of the ball when Weldon Pujols tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Milan Crockett in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jon Beyer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Byron Samuel might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brett Livingston. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Byron Samuel ran back to his position shaking his head. Weldon Pujols in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jon Beyer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Jon Beyer managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Goofball FC's Weldon Pujols fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Byron Samuel sped through Goofball FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Brett Livingston. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Byron Kilgore in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brett Livingston saved Goofball FC from getting behind. When Bonne Terre's Byron Samuel in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Goofball FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Shaw in the 78th minute of play forced Goofball FC's goalkeeper Brett Livingston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Goofball FC's goal looked a bit too open when Byron Samuel came free, but Brett Livingston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sterling Winslow fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goofball FC's protests and gave Sterling Winslow a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bonne Terre booed when Goofball FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sterling Winslow didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brett Livingston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Byron Kilgore's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Arnoldo Billings hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Jon Beyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sterling Winslow, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Mike Shaw came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Bonne Terre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mike Shaw couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, Bonne Terre's goal looked a bit too open when Milan Crockett came free, but Jon Beyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Goofball FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
