In the 10th minute of the game, Tim McClelland landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pendleton's goalkeeper Ferdinand Chandler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Marvin Lord ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Quentin Clifford was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Quentin Clifford stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marvin Lord's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Quentin Clifford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Downey, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Ali Jacobson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grayville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pendleton the free kick. In the 27th match minute, Grayville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Jacobson to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the game, Grayville's Errol Morin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Downey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Francisco Downey got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Grayville's Errol Morin got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st match minute, Pendleton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Blackwell to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Pendleton's Marvin Lord ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Quentin Clifford. Marvin Lord received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Quentin Clifford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
