The audience was convinced that Milan Crockett's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quentin Clifford was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Errol Morin struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Brett Livingston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grayville. Zack Redmond's late challenge caught a Grayville's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zack Redmond helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Goofball FC got a freekick which was hit by Sterling Winslow. 18 minutes into the game, Errol Morin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Brett Livingston was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 27 minutes into the game, one of Grayville:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Weldon Pujols could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Quentin Clifford made a huge save. After 33rd play minutes Milan Crockett shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Quentin Clifford and just under the crossbar into goal. If Milan Crockett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Milan Crockett in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quentin Clifford saved Grayville from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ali Jacobson was the one to do the kick off. Tim McClelland charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tim McClelland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Grayville getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tim McClelland hit a great ball. Milan Crockett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Weldon Pujols in the 64th minute of play forced Grayville's goalkeeper Quentin Clifford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Jacobson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Livingston having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Goofball FC's zone, Errol Morin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brett Livingston came out of the goal and Errol Morin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the game, Federico Hopper was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goofball FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grayville the free kick. In the 70th minute, Federico Hopper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 72 minutes, Errol Morin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grayville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Errol Morin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brett Livingston made an important save on a dangerous shot by Errol Morin in the 77th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sterling Winslow during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 79 played minutes Goofball FC got a freekick which was hit by Sterling Winslow. Ali Jacobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Grayville's goal looked a bit too open when Weldon Pujols came free, but Quentin Clifford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Weldon Pujols came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Goofball FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Weldon Pujols couldn't finish the play. Errol Morin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Milan Crockett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goofball FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Milan Crockett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quentin Clifford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grayville's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
