The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Quentin Clifford showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Anacortes's Leonard Langston sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Quentin Clifford narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Brent Aguilar's late challenge caught a Anacortes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brent Aguilar helped the player get up and apologised. If Leonard Langston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Shane Hutton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anacortes's supporters rose to their feet, but Shane Hutton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quentin Clifford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grayville's Quentin Clifford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Langston in the 26th minute of play. Quentin Clifford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shane Hutton in the 28th minute. The supporters of Grayville booed when Anacortes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Harding didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonard Langston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quentin Clifford having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonard Langston made a kick off. Shane Hutton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Quentin Clifford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quentin Clifford didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonard Langston went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Shane Hutton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quentin Clifford was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Quentin Clifford didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shane Hutton went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 90 played minutes Anacortes got a freekick which was hit by Avery Person. Ali Jacobson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Bradly Tatum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Grayville's Alonso Neely got a free kick in the 96th minute.
