After 8 played minutes Quality Distributors got a freekick which was hit by Colin Blalock. After 9 played minutes, Carpinteria's Sidney Loyd shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marquis Kitchen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carpinteria reached it. After a rather tough play, Quality Distributors's Connor Kitchen got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute of the match Neal Crane shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marquis Kitchen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marquis Kitchen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devin Higgins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carpinteria! Bo Dickson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bennett Russ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis McIntosh in the 35th minute of play. Zackary Cunningham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquis Kitchen having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Quality Distributors got a freekick which was hit by Tyrese Silver. Marquis Kitchen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zackary Cunningham in the 41st minute. Carpinteria's Bennett Russ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis McIntosh in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis McIntosh in the 85th minute of play forced Carpinteria's goalkeeper Bennett Russ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Neal Crane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Carpinteria getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Shelton Watts hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Quality Distributors walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
