After 18 played minutes Great Falls Montana got a freekick which was hit by Taylor Dias. When Devin Oliver came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Novatoo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Devin Oliver couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the match, Great Falls Montana's goal looked a bit too open when Randell Rivera came free, but Sheldon Lange reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Randell Rivera made a kick off. Devin Oliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sheldon Lange having to interfere. Sheldon Lange showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Randell Rivera in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Devin Boswell had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Grant Sullivan kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When James Starnes came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Novatoo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that James Starnes couldn't finish the play. If Nigel Whalen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
