The supporters of Southside USA booed when livermore sc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Warren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in livermore sc's zone, Eddie Lin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Winston Ladner came out of the goal and Eddie Lin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Southside USA's Playo Moreno got a free kick in the 15th minute. Jonah Bates showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Bowser in the 17th minute of the match. Jonah Bates took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doug Haley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Cunha's late challenge caught a livermore sc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Winston Ladner came out and tried to block the shot, but Eddie Lin slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute Eddie Lin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Winston Ladner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eddie Lin to strike the kick off in the second half. The Southside USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. 63 minutes into the match, Eddie Lin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Winston Ladner. livermore sc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eddie Lin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Winston Ladner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eddie Lin went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-2 was the resulting score. 75 minutes into the game, Eddie Lin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Winston Ladner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Garrett Powers charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Garrett Powers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Garrett Powers hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Doug Haley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Jonah Bates made a huge save. After 87 played minutes Southside USA got a freekick which was hit by Jordan Egan. Winston Ladner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Lin in the 89th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Southside USA had played much better football throughout.
