Jonah Bates was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute, Lanny Neely hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rigoberto Acosta in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonah Bates saved Southside USA from getting behind. Jonah Bates showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darell Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. When American kids's Rigoberto Acosta in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Southside USA booed when American kids was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lanny Neely didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rigoberto Acosta in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonah Bates prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabrício Sá made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Cunha in the 84th minute. In the 91st minute Rigoberto Acosta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonah Bates saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Rigoberto Acosta managed to get in a good position for a shot. American kids's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Acosta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonah Bates breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of American kids booed when Southside USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Playo Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. American kids's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
