In the 5th match minute, livermore sc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Bowser to maneuver through the defense. After 7 played minutes American kids got a freekick which was hit by Rico Proctor. In the 10thth minute of the game Doug Haley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but American kids's Fabrício Sá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of livermore sc booed when American kids was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rico Proctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Doug Haley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabrício Sá. American kids's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doug Haley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Winston Ladner came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by American kids's Darell Quintana. But to his dismay, Darell Quintana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darell Quintana in the 23rd minute of play forced livermore sc's goalkeeper Winston Ladner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Doug Haley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrício Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrício Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Warren in the 35th minute of play. Winston Ladner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rigoberto Acosta's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Darell Quintana managed to get in a good position for a shot. American kids's supporters rose to their feet, but Darell Quintana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Winston Ladner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabrício Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grant Flanagan in the 43rd minute of play. livermore sc's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kelly Emerson in the 45th minute. The corner led livermore sc's Kelly Emerson to fire away a dangerous shot which Fabrício Sá despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. livermore sc's Winston Ladner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Acosta in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Winston Ladner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamim Paiva in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, one of livermore sc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Darell Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabrício Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Warren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute Darell Quintana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Winston Ladner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Benjamim Paiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Winston Ladner was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Winston Ladner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mickey McCord, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doug Haley got free with Fabrício Sá in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute of the match Lanny Neely shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Winston Ladner showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Winston Ladner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darell Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After some careless play in the livermore sc defense, Benjamim Paiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Winston Ladner. The livermore sc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Winston Ladner should have stopped the shot. American kids walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
