When Kelly Loomis, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 5 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fletcher Huffman was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Jacques Wade kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Josh Thomason was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fletcher Huffman stood somewhat misplaced when Josh Thomason came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 26 minute. Sol Franklin struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Fletcher Huffman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Columbia. In the 32nd minute, Tyrone Lilly fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 33rd match minute, Grimes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacques Wade to maneuver through the defense. In the 34thth minute of the game Kelly Loomis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grimes FC's Fletcher Huffman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute Sol Franklin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fletcher Huffman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fletcher Huffman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kelly Loomis in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josh Thomason got free with Fletcher Huffman in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josh Thomason in the 62nd minute of play forced Grimes FC's goalkeeper Fletcher Huffman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Columbia's Freddie Parish got control of the ball when Jed Gilmore tried to sneak it across the goal line. Grimes FC's Fletcher Huffman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kelly Loomis in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Jed Gilmore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grimes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jed Gilmore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Jed Gilmore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddie Parish was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the game, Jed Gilmore cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Freddie Parish was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute, Sol Franklin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the game, Kelly Loomis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Fletcher Huffman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 94 played minutes Columbia got a freekick which was hit by Sol Franklin. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Columbia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Grimes FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
