Spectators: 8030 (Terracing: 6024, Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 160) Knoxville United FC's Thanh Maloney started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Percy Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Evans, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Percy Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanh Maloney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Knoxville United FC's Felix Cowan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mason Woodward in the 13th minute of play. Son Gaines recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Son Gaines got free with Percy Almeida in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gregory Farr kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Percy Almeida made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Son Gaines sent off a good shot on target. Percy Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmed Evans in the 20th minute of the match. Felix Cowan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mason Woodward in the 22nd minute of the match. Thanh Bush hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. San Martin SJ's Percy Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save San Martin SJ from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute, Ahmed Evans fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Percy Almeida, passed just outside the right post. Percy Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thanh Maloney in the 31st minute of the match. Kyle Háva came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Percy Almeida could save by the left post. Percy Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanh Maloney in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mason Woodward in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Cowan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd minute Mason Woodward shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Cowan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregory Farr hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Felix Cowan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mason Woodward in the 51st minute. 55 minutes into the match, Thanh Maloney had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percy Almeida. San Martin SJ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thanh Maloney was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Felix Cowan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mason Woodward's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute Thanh Maloney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Thanh Maloney left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Knoxville United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 74th minute Kyle Háva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute Thanh Maloney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franklin Wilcox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Cowan having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Knoxville United FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
