In the 6th minute Blade Coote shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincenzo Ross saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Stevie Reilly fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heat Wave Sports's protests and gave Stevie Reilly a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Heat Wave Sports getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Stevie Reilly hit a great ball. Vincenzo Ross took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blade Coote, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jamel Ivy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xavier Gobeo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Wilmer Robinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Vincenzo Ross tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Jonas Alvarenga made a precise shot to the right of Vincenzo Ross. Heat Wave Sports's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 26 minutes of play, Universitatea7 Cluj's Blade Coote made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vincenzo Ross was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vincenzo Ross took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ding Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wendell Rooney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincenzo Ross having to interfere. Vincenzo Ross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ding Mata in the 38th minute of play. Vincenzo Ross showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blade Coote, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. J.P. Kirkland hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Milo Schmitt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Universitatea7 Cluj's supporters rose to their feet, but Milo Schmitt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vincenzo Ross breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the game, Universitatea7 Cluj's Blade Coote nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vincenzo Ross made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xavier Gobeo made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xavier Gobeo during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 53 minutes into the match, Heat Wave Sports's goalkeeper Vincenzo Ross had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ding Mata. Heat Wave Sports's Vincenzo Ross played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wendell Rooney in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Ding Mata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vincenzo Ross was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Xavier Gobeo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Xavier Gobeo struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Jamel Ivy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heat Wave Sports. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ding Mata in the 82nd minute of play forced Heat Wave Sports's goalkeeper Vincenzo Ross to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ding Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonas Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Vincenzo Ross tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Cliff Hawk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ding Mata during the 88th minute.
