An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Roberson in the 16th minute of play forced Virga City Vipers's goalkeeper Rueben Ryan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melvin Benitez got free with Rueben Ryan in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Federico Kincaid fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored L.A. Wolves F.C's protests and gave Federico Kincaid a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, L.A. Wolves F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Kincaid to maneuver through the defense. Chase Harrington missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 25 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Brant Palacios right hand side. 28 minutes into the match, Virga City Vipers's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Roberson came free, but Rueben Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rueben Ryan came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by L.A. Wolves F.C's Melvin Benitez. But to his dismay, Melvin Benitez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Blair Merritt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virga City Vipers's Rueben Ryan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Virga City Vipers from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, L.A. Wolves F.C's Tyrese Odell got a free kick in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andy Roberson to make the kick off. In the 61st minute, Andy Roberson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rueben Ryan was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. A collision led to L.A. Wolves F.C getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Tyrese Odell hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Virga City Vipers's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Blackburn came free, but Rueben Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Blair Merritt sped through L.A. Wolves F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Brant Palacios. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim McDermott in the 82nd minute of play forced Virga City Vipers's goalkeeper Rueben Ryan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tyrese Odell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rueben Ryan. Virga City Vipers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rueben Ryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Blackburn in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melvin Benitez in the 88th minute of play forced Virga City Vipers's goalkeeper Rueben Ryan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virga City Vipers's Damian Pack got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tyrese Odell walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 96th minute Kareem Richter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brant Palacios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Willy Elkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. L.A. Wolves F.C were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Virga City Vipers for a fine match.
