Brendan Ware might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benedict Burger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brendan Ware ran back to his position shaking his head. Benedict Burger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanh Maloney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to KASBLANK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Riley Yeager hit a great ball. Son Gaines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedict Burger having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Thanh Maloney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedict Burger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Cowan made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Curtis Ventura sent off a good shot on target. Benedict Burger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Son Gaines in the 29th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, KASBLANK's goal looked a bit too open when Son Gaines came free, but Benedict Burger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, KASBLANK's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Evans came free, but Benedict Burger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thanh Maloney made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Knoxville United FC's Brendan Ware got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Benedict Burger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Evans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KASBLANK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Thanh Maloney 60 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Ahmed Evans's late challenge caught a KASBLANK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmed Evans helped the player get up and apologised. Ahmed Evans hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The supporters of KASBLANK booed when Knoxville United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Adams didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Max Hart in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Cowan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. KASBLANK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Thanh Maloney scored to the left of an out of position Benedict Burger, making the score, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thanh Maloney in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedict Burger saved KASBLANK from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Evans in the 80th minute of play forced KASBLANK's goalkeeper Benedict Burger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanh Bush hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Felix Cowan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Max Hart, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Son Gaines cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Benedict Burger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. KASBLANK's Benedict Burger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanh Maloney in the 94th minute of play. Benedict Burger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Son Gaines in the 96th minute. The Knoxville United FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Knoxville United FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
