In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floral City's goalkeeper Curt Herring, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Curt Herring made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tad Stephens in the 13th minute of play. Tad Stephens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Curt Herring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Clinton Gould fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Victoria's protests and gave Clinton Gould a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Floral City booed when Victoria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clinton Gould didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Norman Land managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Floral City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norman Land was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradly Salinas in the 25th minute of play forced Floral City's goalkeeper Curt Herring to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norman Land kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Curt Herring made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradly Salinas in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradly Salinas in the 39th minute of play forced Floral City's goalkeeper Curt Herring to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Victoria's goalkeeper Shelby Mercer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Derrick Pierre. Curt Herring showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tad Stephens in the 75th minute of the match.
