In the 20th minute Ralph Hammons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Dow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Henderson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Bethlehem's zone, Garth Johns stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Dow came out of the goal and Garth Johns tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Lake Providence getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Edward Villarreal hit a great ball. When Darrell Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lake Providence's protests and gave Darrell Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lake Providence's Darrell Lopes got a free kick in the 89th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Wilton Pollock dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tim Dow, 1-7. Ralph Hammons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Dow having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Villarreal got free with Tim Dow in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th match minute, Bethlehem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Shockley to maneuver through the defense. The Lake Providence players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
