Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Raymundo Blankenship made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the game, Tom Barrow was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Cincinnati's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mathews AFC the free kick. Tom Barrow hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Raymundo Blankenship recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Mathews AFC's Ethan Frey got control of the ball when Mike Sheridan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ethan Frey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymundo Blankenship, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mike Sheridan got free with Ethan Frey in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rocco Willard might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ethan Frey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rocco Willard ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Ethan Frey managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when FC Cincinnati's Mike Sheridan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 33 played minutes Mathews AFC got a freekick which was hit by Logan Otto. Ethan Frey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymundo Blankenship in the 36th minute of the match. Raymundo Blankenship blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ethan Frey having to make a save. After 39 minutes, Harvey Cho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mathews AFC and the FC Cincinnati players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Mathews AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harvey Cho to maneuver through the defense. FC Cincinnati's Tom Barrow shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 40th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ethan Frey but with some difficulty. Ethan Frey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymundo Blankenship in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Reyes Edmondson made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Sheridan in the 53rd minute of play forced Mathews AFC's goalkeeper Ethan Frey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Francis Flaherty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mike Sheridan came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the FC Cincinnati fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mike Sheridan couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Mathews AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Cincinnati:s goal. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for FC Cincinnati. Tom Barrow stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ethan Frey. 2-0. Ethan Frey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Sheridan in the 66th minute of the match. Mike Sheridan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ethan Frey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Cincinnati's Gilbert Kirby got a free kick in the 77th minute. Sylvester Todd, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ethan Frey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mike Sheridan went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Ethan Frey came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Cincinnati's Mike Sheridan. But to his dismay, Mike Sheridan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0.
