Fort Pierce Sqwewouth AFC's Wilbur Starnes got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jerold Fay fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Helena FC's protests and gave Jerold Fay a yellow card for diving instead. Helena FC's Albert Graham managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ernesto Ibarra in the 20 minute of the game. Jerold Fay hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Ernesto Ibarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute, Jerold Fay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 minutes, Claudio Little mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fort Pierce Sqwewouth AFC and the Helena FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Fort Pierce Sqwewouth AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Little to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Helena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rod Worthington came free, but Dominic Coffman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Malcolm Prescott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudio Little kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dominic Coffman. That made the score 1-0 in the 38 minute of play. Dominic Coffman was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Scott Long. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rod Worthington to make the kick off. A hard shot by Jerold Fay from long distance, 59 minutes into the match, got Alonso Romo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Dominic Coffman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilbur Starnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Luther Acevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Theron Petty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonas Quintero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonso Romo having to interfere. The supporters of Fort Pierce Sqwewouth AFC booed when Helena FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scott Wesley didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Little in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dominic Coffman saved Helena FC from getting behind. Malcolm Prescott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Dominic Coffman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Helena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilbur Starnes came free, but Dominic Coffman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luther Acevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alonso Romo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Helena FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fort Pierce Sqwewouth AFC.
