The supporters of Ripley booed when San Juan de Argentina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Clarke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harvey Dubose to make the kick off. Denis Rucker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Winston Rosario having to interfere. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 75 minutes, Steven Salas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Juan de Argentina FC and the Ripley players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Rucker in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Winston Rosario saved San Juan de Argentina FC from getting behind. If Theodore Osborne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Rucker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Winston Rosario having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, San Juan de Argentina FC's Theodore Osborne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Morgan Paul made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 97th minute Denis Rucker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Winston Rosario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The San Juan de Argentina FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing San Juan de Argentina FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
