Spectators: 5750 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 50) Rodrigo Biggs started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desmond Bruner in the 7th minute of play forced FC AUSTIN's goalkeeper Lorenzo Smith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Forest SC's Marcos Ciccaglione nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lorenzo Smith made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Marcos Ciccaglione sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Desmond Bruner hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 16 minutes in the game, Cameron Michael fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Derek McGowan having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Donovan Shields hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC AUSTIN's Lorenzo Smith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ross Landers in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desmond Bruner in the 22nd minute of play forced FC AUSTIN's goalkeeper Lorenzo Smith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Marcos Ciccaglione had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lorenzo Smith. FC AUSTIN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Ciccaglione was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Lorenzo Smith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desmond Bruner in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Ross Landers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forest SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ross Landers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lorenzo Smith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desmond Bruner, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th match minute, FC AUSTIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Barrow to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Ciccaglione's late challenge caught a FC AUSTIN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Ciccaglione helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes Forest SC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Ciccaglione. In the 37th minute, Rodrigo Biggs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Ciccaglione recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lorenzo Smith didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Desmond Bruner went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Kurtis Cooper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Smith having to interfere. After the first half Forest SC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute, Forest SC's Marcos Ciccaglione dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. 57 minutes into the match, Marcos Ciccaglione had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lorenzo Smith. FC AUSTIN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Ciccaglione was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. FC AUSTIN's Cameron Michael got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Forest SC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Virgil Zimmerman hit a great ball. Lorenzo Smith didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ross Landers went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Lorenzo Smith came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Forest SC's Desmond Bruner. But to his dismay, Desmond Bruner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. After a rather tough play, FC AUSTIN's Cameron Michael got a free kick in the 75th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Marcos Ciccaglione managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forest SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Ciccaglione was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Forest SC's Ross Landers got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rodrigo Biggs came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the FC AUSTIN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Biggs couldn't finish the play. If Ross Landers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 minutes, Cameron Michael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC AUSTIN and the Forest SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cameron Michael hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Forest SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Forest SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
