Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Joesph Fletcher started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Diboll booed when Forest SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanton Sneed didn't get a good kick on the ball. 3 minutes into the game, Diboll's Joesph Fletcher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Derek McGowan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Derek McGowan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joesph Fletcher went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 10 minutes into the match, Forest SC's Marcos Ciccaglione sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cameron Parnell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kraig Snell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Werner Rhoades made a precise shot to the right of Derek McGowan. Forest SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Forest SC's zone, Joesph Fletcher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derek McGowan came out of the goal and Joesph Fletcher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Son Frazier struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Derek McGowan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diboll. Derek McGowan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joesph Fletcher in the 23rd minute of play. If Desmond Bruner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Marcos Ciccaglione had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Derek McGowan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bret Cope in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ross Landers in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cameron Parnell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diboll's Cameron Parnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ross Landers in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Diboll's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Ciccaglione came free, but Cameron Parnell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Desmond Bruner was the one to do the kick off. Diboll's Cameron Parnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Ciccaglione in the 52nd minute of play. Bret Cope hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the game, Werner Rhoades was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Diboll's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Forest SC the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Diboll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Werner Rhoades to maneuver through the defense. When Forest SC's Marcos Ciccaglione in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Forest SC's Paul McConnell got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Bret Cope sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Forest SC's Derek McGowan didn't even have to move. Derek McGowan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joesph Fletcher in the 94th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Diboll had won after a very even match.
