Tyrell Howard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Theron McLean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When North Hudson's Pedro Arrington in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lincroft's goalie prevented a goal. 15 minutes into the match, North Hudson's goal looked a bit too open when Bryant Weir came free, but Arnold Starks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Darnell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Art Randall having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Tyrell Howard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Hudson's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyrell Howard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute Lewis Arden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Starks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Pedro Arrington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnold Starks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from King Alford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Lewis Arden had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnold Starks. North Hudson's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lewis Arden was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that King Alford's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnold Starks was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Benjamin Gonzalez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Lincroft were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some careless play in the North Hudson defense, Lewis Arden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnold Starks. The North Hudson fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnold Starks should have stopped the shot. After 58 played minutes North Hudson got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Arrington. Arnold Starks made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when King Alford sent off a good shot on target. When Lewis Arden came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Lincroft fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lewis Arden couldn't finish the play. Arnold Starks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis Arden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 minutes, Willis Clay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Hudson and the Lincroft players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, North Hudson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willis Clay to maneuver through the defense. King Alford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Vern Figueroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute Theron McLean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Starks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 played minutes North Hudson got a freekick which was hit by Vern Figueroa. 88 minutes into the match, Lincroft's Theron McLean sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnold Starks narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Arrington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Art Randall having to interfere. Art Randall came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by North Hudson's Pedro Arrington. But to his dismay, Pedro Arrington quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Benjamin Gonzalez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lincroft had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
