The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Walker Collins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Smith having to interfere. Cameron Michael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Deshawn Hastings tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deshawn Hastings didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodrigo Biggs went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Cameron Michael managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC AUSTIN's supporters rose to their feet, but Cameron Michael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Deshawn Hastings breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 28 minutes, Cameron Michael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC AUSTIN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cameron Michael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodrigo Biggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deshawn Hastings having to interfere. The supporters of Saby Dimers booed when FC AUSTIN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Randell Whitley didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Saby Dimers defense, Rodrigo Biggs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Deshawn Hastings. The Saby Dimers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Deshawn Hastings should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of FC AUSTIN booed when Saby Dimers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terrance Poirier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Sherman Whitmore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Saby Dimers's goalkeeper Deshawn Hastings had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Biggs. In the 58th minute of the match FC AUSTIN got a corner. Saby Dimers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rudolf Franklin ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on FC AUSTIN's corner Rudolf Franklin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Deshawn Hastings quite easily take care of the ball. When Jonathon Glover fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saby Dimers's protests and gave Jonathon Glover a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had been going on for 65 minutes, FC AUSTIN's Rudolf Franklin got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Deshawn Hastings. When Cameron Michael came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the FC AUSTIN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cameron Michael couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute, Sherman Whitmore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Saby Dimers's zone, Rodrigo Biggs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deshawn Hastings came out of the goal and Rodrigo Biggs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Rodrigo Biggs put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Deshawn Hastings. With an all-out effort, FC AUSTIN's Deshawn Hastings threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cameron Michael, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 82nd play minute Cameron Michael came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Deshawn Hastings. 0-5. Walker Collins kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
