With an extended leg and a bit of luck Art Randall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Werner Rhoades hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Lewis Arden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Lincroft players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Diboll were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Joesph Fletcher made the kick off in the second half. Art Randall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joesph Fletcher in the 52nd minute of play. When Federico Duarte fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diboll's protests and gave Federico Duarte a yellow card for diving instead. Roman Zavala hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Federico Duarte got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Diboll's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
