Johnny Hickman was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the game, one of Soldotna:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Soldotna:s Nick Ervin showed great skill when he stopped Tyrone Doe:s penalty. A collision led to Soldotna getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Edward Califf hit a great ball. Harry Holden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darin McAlpin in the 12th minute of the match. Nick Ervin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hal McQueen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Deshawn Bain during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Deshawn Bain kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Weymouth Soccer defense, Darin McAlpin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harry Holden. The Weymouth Soccer fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harry Holden should have stopped the shot. Quintin Lindsey's late challenge caught a Soldotna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quintin Lindsey helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Weymouth Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Quintin Lindsey. Weymouth Soccer's Harry Holden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darin McAlpin in the 26th minute of play. Randell Mullins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nick Ervin having to interfere. Soldotna's Darin McAlpin got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilford Nunez during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 52nd minute Soldotna were awarded a corner. Alexander Brandt went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 53rd match minute, Weymouth Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randell Mullins to maneuver through the defense. Darin McAlpins short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Harry Holden to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Weymouth Soccer's Harry Holden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darin McAlpin in the 61st minute of play. Darin McAlpin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Harry Holden skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 75 minutes into the game, Edward Califf recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Harry Holden. Edward Califf showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. When Darin McAlpin came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Soldotna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darin McAlpin couldn't finish the play. Rudolf Bean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Harry Holden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darin McAlpin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harry Holden having to make a save. Nick Ervin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Randell Mullins, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Randell Mullins took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nick Ervin. Nick Ervin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Randell Mullins fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Weymouth Soccer's protests and gave Randell Mullins a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, Randell Mullins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edward Califf during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edward Califf kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
