Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kerry Haas made the kick off which started today's match. If Mervin Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 5th match minute, Dent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pat Couch to maneuver through the defense. Titus Ruffin, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mervin Palmer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Geraldo Littlejohn made a huge save. After some careless play in the Dent defense, Mervin Palmer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geraldo Littlejohn. The Dent fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geraldo Littlejohn should have stopped the shot. Geraldo Littlejohn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerry Haas in the 13th minute of the match. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Springville's goalkeeper Sanford Cullen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Casey Mathis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marlin Mosher charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marlin Mosher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Springville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marlin Mosher to maneuver through the defense. Kerry Haas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geraldo Littlejohn having to make a save. Mervin Palmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Springville's Mervin Palmer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geraldo Littlejohn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geraldo Littlejohn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerry Haas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Dent's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kerry Haas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Springville's Sanford Cullen got control of the ball when Benny Murphy tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yong Hicks in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sanford Cullen saved Springville from getting behind. Mervin Palmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mervin Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Littlejohn having to interfere. Kerry Haas scored 3-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geraldo Littlejohn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the game, Springville's Kerry Haas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geraldo Littlejohn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 75 minutes into the match, Springville's goalkeeper Sanford Cullen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yong Hicks. Yong Hicks struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Sanford Cullen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dent. Titus Ruffin hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Geraldo Littlejohn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerry Haas, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Springville's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Yong Hicks 88 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-1. In the 95th minute, Kerry Haas made a precise shot to the right of Geraldo Littlejohn. Dent's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Springville were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Dent for a fine match.
