Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Leo Huber kicked off to start the match. Leo Huber didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 4th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Leo Huber ran dejectedly back to his position. Effingham's Dylan Lott managed to work through San Diego Lightning's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Dylan Lott dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The audience was convinced that Leo Huber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lloyd Irvin was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Leo Huber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dylan Lott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Lloyd Irvin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Quincy Barney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuan Napier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Effingham's Leo Huber got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Lloyd Irvin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. San Diego Lightning's Lloyd Irvin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dylan Lott in the 23rd minute of play. Tuan Napier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quincy Barney in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to San Diego Lightning getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Tyler Randolph hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Leo Huber dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lloyd Irvin, 1-0. San Diego Lightning's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Leo Huber scored to the left of an out of position Lloyd Irvin, making the score, 2-0. Lloyd Irvin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leo Huber's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. When Effingham's Leo Huber in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Diego Lightning's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dylan Lott in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lloyd Irvin saved San Diego Lightning from getting behind. 48 minutes into the game, Leo Huber recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lloyd Irvin. Leo Huber showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quincy Barney to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Leo Huber notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of San Diego Lightning's Lloyd Irvin. Lloyd Irvin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute, Waldo Means made a precise shot to the right of Tuan Napier. Effingham's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 76th minute, Dylan Lott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lloyd Irvin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dylan Lott in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Effingham were awarded a corner. Leo Huber went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 82nd match minute, Effingham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Al Vigil to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Lockwood came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tuan Napier could save by the left post. With an all-out effort, San Diego Lightning's Tuan Napier threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ollie Barrera, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 88th minute, Bernie Whitfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 played minutes Effingham got a freekick which was hit by Al Vigil. 91 minutes into the match, Effingham's goal looked a bit too open when Quincy Barney came free, but Tuan Napier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leo Huber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Effingham had played much better football throughout.
