The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Weymouth Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Marshall Yost came free, but Harry Holden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harry Holden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marshall Yost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deshawn Bain hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Randell Mullins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, Green Valley's Harry Holden threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marshall Yost, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Jaime Brandon charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Green Valley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Weymouth Soccer the free kick. After 57 played minutes Green Valley got a freekick which was hit by Berry Massey. During the 58th minute of the match Berry Massey completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Berry Massey a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Tyrone Doe was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Elijah McCain made a precise shot to the right of Harry Holden. Weymouth Soccer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After having played for 67 minutes, Hal McQueen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Weymouth Soccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hal McQueen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joshua Whitney yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 93rd minute, Marshall Yost hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Green Valley's goalkeeper Joshua Whitney, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
