Spectators: 8017 (Terracing: 6015, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 159) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Joshua Salas made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Boston University booed when Port Vale F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvis Calderon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domenico Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Perdue in the 5th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joshua Salas in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kaspar Niinep saved Boston University from getting behind. In the 8th minute, Joshua Salas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Port Vale F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 14th minute, C.J. Felix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Port Vale F.C.'s C.J. Felix got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. C.J. Felix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When DeAndre Hamby fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Port Vale F.C.'s protests and gave DeAndre Hamby a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Port Vale F.C.'s DeAndre Hamby got a free kick in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lee Charles got free with Domenico Sousa in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joshua Salas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Kaspar Niinep tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Port Vale F.C.'s Brady Manuel got a free kick in the 26th minute. Trenton Estes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Domenico Sousa. Port Vale F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 32nd minute of the match Truman Serrano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domenico Sousa skillfully saved the ball. After 35 minutes of play Port Vale F.C.'s DeAndre Hamby was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Port Vale F.C. getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. DeAndre Hamby hit a great ball. Elvis Calderon kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The long shot by Trenton Estes in the 38th minute really tested Domenico Sousa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Joshua Salas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danny Perdue blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Domenico Sousa having to make a save. Kaspar Niinep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from C.J. Felix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Joshua Salas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Port Vale F.C.'s Eddy Combs got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sung Jernigan might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kaspar Niinep. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sung Jernigan ran back to his position shaking his head. Joshua Salas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Douglas Ledbetter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boston University's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Port Vale F.C. the free kick. Douglas Ledbetter kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Elvis Calderon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Port Vale F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Elvis Calderon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaspar Niinep breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 65 minutes, Eddy Combs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Port Vale F.C. and the Boston University players grew even worse after the yellow card. If C.J. Felix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boston University's Kaspar Niinep proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Boston University from getting a goal against them. When Lee Charles came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Boston University fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lee Charles couldn't finish the play. Boston University's Lee Charles got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Lee Charles notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Port Vale F.C.'s Domenico Sousa. Domenico Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If C.J. Felix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Danny Perdue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Port Vale F.C. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
