To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Benny Murphy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domenico Sousa was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Elvis Calderon's late challenge caught a Dent's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But to his dismay, Yong Hicks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benny Murphy in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domenico Sousa saved Port Vale F.C. from getting behind. Dent's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joshua Salas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Port Vale F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Dent for a fine match.
