Nick Ervin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Collin Lyles took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nick Ervin. Nick Ervin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 26 played minutes Soldotna got a freekick which was hit by Woodrow Carrier. Joe Schmitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Rhett Adair managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pollock Pines AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rhett Adair was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nick Ervin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tim Downing kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Tião Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Downing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jackson Creech tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Tião Galvão. An unnecessary self made goal, 3-1 in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Darin McAlpin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tião Galvão came out and tried to block the shot, but Darin McAlpin slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 58th minute. Nick Ervin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dominique Fields went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Pollock Pines AFC's Dominique Fields got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 minutes Pollock Pines AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Johnny Hickman who took care of the corner kick. Johnny Hickman made a great header on Soldotna's corner, it was just that Pollock Pines AFC's Tião Galvão managed to reach the ball for a save. After 71 minutes, Woodrow Carrier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soldotna and the Pollock Pines AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Woodrow Carrier kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Soldotna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Califf to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Pollock Pines AFC's Joe Schmitt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nick Ervin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Darin McAlpin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Tião Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Rudolf Bean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dominique Fields had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th match minute, Pollock Pines AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Collin Lyles to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes in the game Rueben Mullins did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Wilford Nunez. Pollock Pines AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
