Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marshall Yost got the match started through his kick off. Springville's Sanford Cullen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marshall Yost in the 3rd minute of play. Berry Massey kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Joshua Whitney made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Mervin Palmer sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Mervin Palmer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 15 minutes of play, Green Valley's Elijah McCain made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sanford Cullen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Springville:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Green Valley:s goal. Springville:s Sanford Cullen showed great skill when he stopped Cary Beard:s penalty. The supporters of Springville booed when Green Valley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berry Massey didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Titus Ruffin in the 29th minute really tested Joshua Whitney's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Green Valley getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Sung Guy hit a great ball. If Kerry Haas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elijah McCain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Sanford Cullen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kerry Haas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mervin Palmer got free with Joshua Whitney in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Springville's Mervin Palmer in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 86thth minute of the game Mervin Palmer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Green Valley's Joshua Whitney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Sung Guy fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Green Valley's protests and gave Sung Guy a yellow card for diving instead. Joshua Whitney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mervin Palmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marshall Yost in the 91st minute of play forced Springville's goalkeeper Sanford Cullen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Green Valley's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
