Spectators: 6500 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hal McQueen took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute of the match, Randell Mullins got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lloyd Irvin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in San Diego Lightning's zone, Hal McQueen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lloyd Irvin came out of the goal and Hal McQueen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hal McQueen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Lloyd Irvin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 13 minutes, Randell Mullins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Weymouth Soccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Randell Mullins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Hal McQueen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lloyd Irvin. The goal made the score 1-0. 30 minutes into the game, Cristobal Titus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Diego Lightning's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Weymouth Soccer the free kick. The supporters of Weymouth Soccer booed when San Diego Lightning was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Titus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hal McQueen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lloyd Irvin having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quincy Barney to strike the kick off in the second half. Randell Mullins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lloyd Irvin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After 64 minutes of play, Weymouth Soccer's Hal McQueen made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lloyd Irvin was left in no man's land by his defense there! 68 minutes into the match, Weymouth Soccer's Hal McQueen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lloyd Irvin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Hal McQueen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Randell Mullins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lloyd Irvin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Weymouth Soccer's Deshawn Bain got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute Hal McQueen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lloyd Irvin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Weymouth Soccer's Hal McQueen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lloyd Irvin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 90th minute, Jaime Brandon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Weymouth Soccer fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Randell Mullins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Lloyd Irvin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lloyd Irvin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hal McQueen's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Randell Mullins struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Lloyd Irvin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Weymouth Soccer. Weymouth Soccer walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
