Boston University's Kaspar Niinep played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claude Ziegler in the 14th minute of play. When Danny Perdue came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Boston University fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danny Perdue couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claude Ziegler in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaspar Niinep prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lee Charles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harvey Bush having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richard Karros during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The wind increased when Claude Ziegler made the kick off in the second half.
