Kerry Haas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Parnell having to interfere. Michael Parnell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerry Haas in the 24th minute of the match. If Kerry Haas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Dukes in the 51st minute of play forced Springville's goalkeeper Sanford Cullen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswego's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jesse Calcagnini in the 54th minute. Ernest Dukes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Oswego's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marshall Randle hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Mervin Palmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Springville booed when Oswego was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Hayes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marshall Randle kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Sanford Cullen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oswego. In the 89th minute, one of Springville:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Springville. The Oswego players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Springville from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
