He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tuan Napier. If Berry Massey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tuan Napier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marshall Yost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Effingham's goalkeeper Tuan Napier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elijah McCain. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dylan Lott made a kick off. In the 59th minute of the match Leo Huber sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joshua Whitney skillfully saved the ball.
