Spectators: 7805 (Terracing: 5966, Seating: 1829, VIP seats: 10) Everyone was convinced a goal was close when San Diego Lightning's Quincy Barney in the 3rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Domenico Sousa was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Port Vale F.C. through an amazing save. After having played for 5 minutes, Joshua Salas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Port Vale F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Joshua Salas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elvis Calderon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lloyd Irvin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Salas in the 9th minute of play forced San Diego Lightning's goalkeeper Lloyd Irvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elvis Calderon during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Quincy Barney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domenico Sousa having to interfere. Domenico Sousa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Quincy Barney showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. The goalkeeper, Domenico Sousa, was totally fooled by San Diego Lightning's Dominic Goode, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. San Diego Lightning's Lloyd Irvin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Salas in the 37th minute of play. With a little luck, Port Vale F.C.'s Domenico Sousa got control of the ball when Jaime Lockwood tried to sneak it across the goal line. Quincy Barney struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Domenico Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Diego Lightning. Quincy Barney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quincy Barney to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Joshua Salas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lloyd Irvin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joshua Salas spun around in front of the goal 61 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of San Diego Lightning's goal. After 64 played minutes Port Vale F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Brady Manuel. C.J. Felix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lloyd Irvin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Felix came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Port Vale F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that C.J. Felix couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when C.J. Felix got free with Lloyd Irvin in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes into the match, San Diego Lightning's goalkeeper Lloyd Irvin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elvis Calderon. Port Vale F.C. were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after San Diego Lightning's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Brady Manuel took the corner. C.J. Felix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
