Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hal McQueen got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Weymouth Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Haas came free, but Harry Holden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Kerry Haas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Springville's supporters rose to their feet, but Kerry Haas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harry Holden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the game, Hal McQueen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sanford Cullen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th match minute, Weymouth Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristofer Neely to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Mervin Palmer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Harry Holden. Weymouth Soccer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mervin Palmer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Mervin Palmer sped through Weymouth Soccer's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harry Holden. Hal McQueen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 minutes of play, Weymouth Soccer's Hal McQueen made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sanford Cullen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kerry Haas during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kerry Haas kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Randell Mullins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34thth minute of the game Hal McQueen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Springville's Sanford Cullen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mervin Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Holden having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Weymouth Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Wayne Roe. After some careless play in the Springville defense, Randell Mullins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sanford Cullen. The Springville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sanford Cullen should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kerry Haas to make the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Randell Mullins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Weymouth Soccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Randell Mullins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Haas in the 59th minute of play forced Weymouth Soccer's goalkeeper Harry Holden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mervin Palmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marlin Mosher's late challenge caught a Weymouth Soccer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marlin Mosher helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Springville getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Marlin Mosher hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kerry Haas in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harry Holden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Weymouth Soccer's zone, Mervin Palmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Holden came out of the goal and Mervin Palmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 75 minutes of play, Springville's Mervin Palmer made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harry Holden was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mervin Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Harry Holden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harry Holden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Haas in the 80th minute of play. Mervin Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Holden having to interfere. Harry Holden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerry Haas in the 86th minute of the match. Sanford Cullen made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Randell Mullins sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Weymouth Soccer's zone, Kerry Haas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Holden came out of the goal and Kerry Haas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
