Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berry Massey during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes Green Valley got a freekick which was hit by Berry Massey. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elijah McCain in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lloyd Irvin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marshall Yost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lloyd Irvin having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Green Valley's goal looked a bit too open when Quincy Barney came free, but Joshua Whitney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddy Crane kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Dalton Lockett kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Marshall Yost ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lloyd Irvin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, San Diego Lightning's Darius Flynn got a free kick in the 16th minute. Lloyd Irvin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cary Beard. 2-0 became the score in the 18th minute when Marshall Yost elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Jaime Lockwood ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joshua Whitney was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Green Valley fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! A collision led to Green Valley getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Cary Beard hit a great ball. In the 43rdth minute of the game Jaime Lockwood who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Green Valley's Joshua Whitney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 44 played minutes Green Valley got a freekick which was hit by Berry Massey. In the 45th minute of the match Dominic Goode sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joshua Whitney skillfully saved the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Elijah McCain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Lloyd Irvin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Waldo Means hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65thth minute of the game Marshall Yost who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Diego Lightning's Lloyd Irvin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joshua Whitney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quincy Barney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eddy Crane kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Jaime Lockwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Joshua Whitney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregg Agostino's late challenge caught a San Diego Lightning's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregg Agostino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Dalton Lockett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Marshall Yost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Elijah McCain put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Lloyd Irvin. For all the effort they put into the match, the San Diego Lightning players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Green Valley.
