Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dent's Yong Hicks started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Darin McAlpin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Woodrow Carrier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soldotna's supporters rose to their feet, but Woodrow Carrier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geraldo Littlejohn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benny Murphy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Nick Ervin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eusebio Hong kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Dent's goal looked a bit too open when Darin McAlpin came free, but Geraldo Littlejohn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Tim Downing left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Soldotna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Geraldo Littlejohn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darin McAlpin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pat Couch hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Nick Ervin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yong Hicks, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st match minute, Soldotna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rueben Mullins to maneuver through the defense. Nick Ervin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benny Murphy in the 35th minute. Yong Hicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darin McAlpin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Geraldo Littlejohn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Benny Murphy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yong Hicks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nick Ervin having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Tim Downing made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Dent booed when Soldotna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Hickman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Yong Hicks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nick Ervin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Woodrow Carrier during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Soldotna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Woodrow Carrier to maneuver through the defense. Yong Hicks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Soldotna! Hugh McGowan hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Darin McAlpin struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Geraldo Littlejohn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soldotna. A hard shot by Rueben Mullins from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Geraldo Littlejohn's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Tim Downing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute Yong Hicks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nick Ervin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Soldotna's Rueben Mullins got a free kick in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yong Hicks in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nick Ervin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Rudolf Bean took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Geraldo Littlejohn to make any attempt to save it. In the 88th minute Tim Downing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Littlejohn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Yong Hicks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pat Couch charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pat Couch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pat Couch kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Dent's Giovanni Swan got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Johnny Hickman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dent's Geraldo Littlejohn didn't even have to move. Soldotna's Tim Downing was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 95th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Dent's Geraldo Littlejohn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Dent from getting a goal against them. Soldotna's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
