Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Leo Huber kicked off to start the match. Tuan Napier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mervin Palmer in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute Mervin Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuan Napier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Effingham's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Haas came free, but Tuan Napier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, one of Springville:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 19th match minute, Springville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grady Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Sanford Cullen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylan Lott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dylan Lott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27thth minute of the game Leo Huber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Springville's Sanford Cullen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Leo Huber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leo Huber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sanford Cullen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leo Huber's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Mervin Palmer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Springville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Tuan Napier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mervin Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Springville booed when Effingham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro McGraw didn't get a good kick on the ball. Springville's Mervin Palmer got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mervin Palmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mervin Palmer to make the kick off. Mervin Palmer did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Tuan Napier 52 minutes into the match. When Doug Merchant came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Springville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doug Merchant couldn't finish the play. Leo Huber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sanford Cullen having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Marlin Mosher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sandy Coffman hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Mervin Palmer could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Tuan Napier however easily saved by the left post. Mervin Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuan Napier having to interfere. Sanford Cullen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Huber in the 75th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Springville's Marlin Mosher got a free kick in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Marlin Mosher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Springville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Effingham the free kick. In the 81st minute, Marlin Mosher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Springville's Sanford Cullen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dylan Lott in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Springville's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Huber came free, but Sanford Cullen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doug Merchant during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Doug Merchant hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match.
