In the 36th minute Yong Hicks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuan Napier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 played minutes Effingham got a freekick which was hit by Chad Hare. Leo Huber struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Geraldo Littlejohn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Effingham. 42 minutes into the match, Effingham's Leo Huber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geraldo Littlejohn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geraldo Littlejohn was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Leo Huber capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leo Huber really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Pat Couch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Tuan Napier made a huge save. Effingham's Tuan Napier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yong Hicks in the 66th minute of play. Leo Huber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 74 played minutes Effingham got a freekick which was hit by Bruce Burnham. Leo Huber struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Geraldo Littlejohn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Effingham. After 86 minutes of play, Dent's Yong Hicks made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tuan Napier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Geraldo Littlejohn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Huber, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Dylan Lott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
