Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leo Huber started the match with the kick off. Marshall Randle charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The wind increased when Ernest Dukes made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Oswego's Marshall Randle got a free kick in the 51st minute. If Chad Hare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickie Mott's late challenge caught a Effingham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rickie Mott helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Oswego getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Rickie Mott hit a great ball. Michael Parnell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Huber in the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Oswego's zone, Dylan Lott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Parnell came out of the goal and Dylan Lott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Huber in the 95th minute of play forced Oswego's goalkeeper Michael Parnell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Effingham lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
