Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lincoln Herndon kicked off to start the match. Ali Thomson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyrus Friedman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cyrus Friedman scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ali Thomson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ned Turner's late challenge caught a WPB Gators FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ned Turner helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyrus Friedman in the 14th minute of play forced Menlo's goalkeeper Ali Thomson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Menlo's goal looked a bit too open when Allen Beltran came free, but Ali Thomson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali Thomson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rory Whittington in the 17th minute of the match. Ned Turner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Rushing having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, WPB Gators FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benny Pendleton to maneuver through the defense. Menlo's Ned Turner got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Menlo defense, Rory Whittington kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Thomson. The Menlo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Thomson should have stopped the shot. Ali Thomson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyrus Friedman in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Gerry Ivey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Thomson. Menlo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerry Ivey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 37 minutes into the game, WPB Gators FC's Cyrus Friedman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ali Thomson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 44 minutes into the match, Menlo's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Whittington came free, but Ali Thomson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulysses Lindsay hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cyrus Friedman made a kick off. Ali Thomson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyrus Friedman in the 56th minute. The supporters of Menlo booed when WPB Gators FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benny Pendleton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ned Turner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Cyrus Friedman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The WPB Gators FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Ali Thomson made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Allen Beltran sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to WPB Gators FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Nigel Keller hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, WPB Gators FC's Walter Sweeney got a free kick in the 88th minute. Luther Fitzpatrick charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luther Fitzpatrick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes Menlo got a freekick which was hit by Luther Fitzpatrick. After 92 played minutes Menlo got a freekick which was hit by Luther Fitzpatrick. WPB Gators FC played a much better game than Menlo and deserved their victory. The Menlo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
